SafesSpeak was built on one belief: every student deserves to feel safe — online and offline. Here's why we exist and what drives us.
The Problem We're Solving
Over a third of all students experience some form of cyberbullying, yet fewer than 1 in 5 ever report it. The reasons are clear: fear of retaliation, not knowing who to tell, or not believing it will change anything.
SafesSpeak removes every one of those barriers. By making reporting anonymous, simple, and directly tied to school administration, we give students the confidence to speak up — and the assurance that something will actually happen.
What We Stand For
Everything we build and every decision we make is guided by these four principles.
Your identity is never exposed. Not to the administration, not to the accused, not to anyone. We designed our system so that privacy is the default, not an afterthought.
Reports reach school administration within minutes. We believe swift responses are what give students faith that reporting is actually worth it.
We built SafesSpeak for students — not administrators, not parents. Every design decision prioritizes the student's comfort, safety, and sense of control.
Beyond reporting, we believe in healing. Our success stories section empowers survivors to inspire others and shift the culture around bullying in schools.
The Process
We believe transparency builds trust. Here's exactly what happens after you submit a report.
Your report is encrypted and sent immediately to a designated safeguarding officer at your school.
The safeguarding team reviews the report and determines the appropriate response plan.
The school speaks to relevant parties discreetly. Your identity is never revealed at any stage.
The victim is offered counseling and support resources. The situation continues to be monitored.
